Heidelberg – On October 7, 2020, Jean R. (Ginther-Henke) (Novay) Bishop, beloved mother, grandmother (Grammie), great grandmother (GG), sister and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at her home at the age of 77.
Jean was the wife of the late Thomas E. Bishop, Jr. and brother of Raymond Henke.
She is survived by brothers James Ginther and his wife Darlene (Bootie), Joseph Henke and his wife Patti, Daughters, Rita Sawyer and husband Ken, Cynthia Novay, Lisa Bishop, Donna McGill and husband Walter, Sons, James Novay, Thomas E. Bishop, III, 17 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grandchildren.
Jean was born in Pittsburgh on December 29, 1942. She retired after37 years of dedicated employment at “Thepitt. She was a diehard Pittsburgh Steeler fan and a member of the F.O.E. in Carnegie and enjoyed playing Bingo along with card and board games with her grandchildren.
Jean’s family would like to express deep, heart-felt gratitude for the amazing care giving team who lovingly supported her throughout her last months of life.
We encourage visitors to greet the family during visiting hours on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 1-3pm and 5-8pm at Leo J. Henney Funeral Home, 323 Second Avenue, Carnegie, PA 15106 where a Funeral Service will be held at 8 pm.
